How it works
Open your link
Your contractor texts or emails it to you, or you scan their QR code on site.
Snap a photo
Take a picture of your certificate or pick the PDF. No app, no account, no password.
Done
We read it, confirm it with your insurance agent, and remind you before it expires.
Get your free account
Sign up with your email or Google in a few seconds. Then add your certificate from your account by photo, PDF, text or email, and we'll remind you before it expires.
Your insurance agent can also send it straight to your contractor. When we email your agent to confirm a policy, they can reply in one click.
After you send it
Your contractor sees your status: red (not received), yellow (received) or green (confirmed by your agent). Starting 30 days before a policy expires, we remind you by email, or by text if you opt in, so you don't get held up at the gate or on a pay app. Send the renewed certificate the same way and you're green again.
Work for more than one contractor?
The Insurance Wallet ($39 a year) sends each new certificate to every contractor on SubProof you work with. Nobody gets your certificate until you approve them by email. Turn it on from a contractor's page in your free account.
Is my information safe?
Only the contractors you work with see your certificate. We never sell your information. See our privacy policy.
Your contractor isn't on SubProof yet?
Send them this page. They stop chasing paperwork, and you stop emailing the same PDF to every job.
